Time for a Healthy Change

HEALTH GOALS 2018

It is hard to believe how quickly 2017 has flown by! You might have thought about setting some New Year’s resolutions, but I tell you, forget about it! Instead, I will help you to set some awesome HEALTH GOALS!

Creating a FAMILY HEALTH WISH LIST

Take out a piece of paper and list the things regarding your families health and what you would like to accomplish in 2018. Write down whatever comes to your mind, even if it seems too simple or difficult. No matter if your wish is to include more vegetables into your kid’s meal, improving food sensitivities, getting rid of ongoing illness, or simply increasing outdoor and your families quality-time. Put it on your list!

Fixing the frequent tummy ache your child suffers from. Reducing any side effects from medication.

On, to your list.

Wishing for one meal-time per day where the whole family sits together and shares their stories of the day?

And ideally whishing that the meal you have cooked for your family is as nourishing and nurturing as the stories you share?

Put it all on your list!

You KNOW the WHY

So you have created your list of health goals which you are deeply wishing for to be accomplished. Take a moment and contemplate the why of each one. Write down the reason why it is important to you and why you put that goal on your wish list. What will change in your life by achieving these health goals? What impact will it have on your family, your children? What will change in their life or what might they miss out on if you wouldn’t set that goal?

Choose the three health goals most important to you.

Let’s tackle the HOW

Now you know which health goals you want to work on and why they are so important to you. The only thing missing is to figure out a strategy how to achieve your set goals.

For some parents, the HOW might be obvious. If your child is consuming a sugary pop every single day and you are confronted with health issues related to imbalanced blood sugar, it might be a good start to declare your home to a healthy and “junk free zone”. We might not be able to make them quit sugary beverages completely, but by restricting these to be only allowed away from home the amount consumed will decrease automatically.

Do you need help to figure out the HOW?

I agree. It isn’t always that easy to get rid of tedious health issues. Solving problems like bedwetting, for instance, might need years before parents have figured out the one single strategy which has finally worked for their child. It is especially difficult if we don’t know the root cause of an issue. Sometimes we will even never figure out what exactly has initiated a specific condition.

What we know for sure is that any kind of imbalance in the body will be expressed by symptoms related to it. This is the step where I can help you. Finding these imbalances in your child’s body systems makes it possible to know where to focus on and HOW.
